Saint-Marteau, backed up by four first-class musicians, romps

through a selection of his own work. A straightforward rock

show, intended for clubs and festivals, but with an eye on

cabaret and showbiz traditions. With Bruno Coussée (bass),

Isolde Lasoen (drums), Ben Van Camp (guitar) et

Luk Vermeir (keyboards).

 

 

With the brilliant Luk Vermeir on piano, Saint-Marteau can also

be enjoyed at smaller venues like cabarets, piano bars and

private parties. In this set up he gives a more intimate, but no

less sparkling performance of his own material, completed with

a selection of old French songs, which he revamps with lots of

gusto.

 

 

Twenty years after Serge Gainsbourg’s death, Saint-Marteau

presents a show dedicated to the work of this legendary

songwriter. Even the biggest Gainsbourg-fans will be delighted

to hear lesser known or even unreleased material, or to

rediscover some of the greatest hits. “Saint-Marteau se fait

Gainsbourg” is not a typical tribute show, but a joyous celebration

in which Saint-Marteau mixes humour, exuberance and his unique

knowledge of the entire history of French song. With Bruno
